Xreal has unveiled Project Aura as the second official Android XR device, during Google I/O, following Samsung's Project Moohan.
Project Aura is a pair of lightweight see-through glasses, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, featuring optical see-through (OST) and virtual see-through (VST) cinematic experiences.
Developers are encouraged to envision new applications for Project Aura and can easily bring their apps to the platform.
Xreal's past headsets offer 6DoF tracking and hand tracking, and while the glasses are tethered, more details are expected to be revealed at Augmented World Expo in June 2025.
