Epic Games has announced a partnership with Qualcomm to support Easy Anti-Cheat for Arm-based Snapdragon processors, allowing Fortnite to be played on Windows 11 Arm-powered laptops.
The collaboration between Epic Games and Qualcomm aims to bring Epic Online Service's Anti-Cheat to Windows on Arm, expanding compatibility for many games that use the software.
Easy Anti-Cheat, which is required to run Fortnite, is also used in nearly 500 other games, and its implementation on Arm processors could improve accessibility for gaming on ultrabooks.
The availability of Easy Anti-Cheat on Arm-based laptops may pave the way for more games to be optimized for Qualcomm's hardware, enhancing the gaming experience on these devices.
