Foreign portfolio investors stayed net sellers for the fifth straight day on Friday, selling index futures, stock futures, and options.
Foreign portfolio investors offloaded equities worth Rs 3,484 crore, while domestic institutional investors sold equities worth Rs 1,720.32 crore.
Foreign institutional investors were sellers of index futures worth Rs 2,276 crore and stock futures and options worth Rs 3,763 crore and Rs 3,968 crore respectively.
The open interest distribution for the Nifty 50 April 9 expiry series indicated the most activity at 25,400 call strikes, and the 22,000 put strikes had the maximum open interest.
