Deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is concerned about the high number of road accidents involving youth in Malaysia.
Zahid emphasized the need for urgent and coordinated intervention by youth groups, government, and the private sector to address the issue.
On average, 6,000 people die in road accidents annually in Malaysia, with 90% of the victims being youths.
Zahid called for proactive measures, such as special courses for young motorcyclists on road safety and motorcycle maintenance, to be implemented by various organizations in collaboration.
