<ul><li>Zaha Hadid Architects has begun construction on the Asaan Misk Heritage Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, their first adobe project.</li><li>The museum, located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah, draws inspiration from the Najdi architecture and uses locally produced clay mud-bricks for construction.</li><li>Part of the Diriyah Gate development masterplan, the three-storey museum features shaded courtyards reflecting traditional Najdi design and aims to promote engagement with Saudi heritage through interactive programs and conservation labs.</li><li>Backed by the Misk Foundation, the Asaan museum by Zaha Hadid Architects seeks to inspire cultural passion and empower society to connect with and celebrate Saudi identity and heritage.</li></ul>
