ZeniMax Workers United-CWA, union representing over 300 quality assurance workers at Microsoft's ZeniMax Media, reached a tentative contract agreement with Microsoft after years of bargaining.
The contract includes substantial wage increases, new minimum salaries, protection against dismissal, grievance procedures, and acknowledgment of QA workers' contributions to video games.
Members will need to attend explanation meetings, and a ratification vote is scheduled by June 20th to finalize the agreement.
The agreement, if approved, would be a significant victory for the workers and could set a precedent for game workers at Microsoft-owned studios and other unions in the future.
