Zurich-based sallea has raised €2.38 million in pre-seed funding to support the production of sustainable, cruelty-free whole cuts of meat and fish through cellular agriculture.
The funding round was led by Founderful, with participation from Kost Capital.
sallea's technology involves creating edible scaffolds that serve as the foundation for cultivating textured whole cuts of meat and fish.
The company plans to accelerate product development and pilot projects to become a leading scaffold provider in the industry.
