Greg Ho, the president of Spring Mountain Capital, runs 4 marathons a year while balancing a busy workday and running an investment firm.
Ho was not able to fit exercise into his schedule until he was in his fifties, but now at 72, he has run a total of 43 marathons.
Despite having multiple ankle and leg problems, he completed and successfully fundraised for his first marathon at the age of 56.
He continues to run the same 18-week training program for both Spring and Fall marathons each year, which requires about 8 hours of running per week.
He wakes up at 4:30 am each day, works for most of his day, and spends four hours doing recreational activities with his wife, which he believes helps him to maintain his busy lifestyle.
Ho only gets 4.5 hours of sleep each night, so he practices other longevity-boosting habits such as eating healthily and trying to reduce stress.
He hopes to run a total of 100 marathons by his 100th birthday, with the plan to run 3 marathons per year until turning 80 and then reducing gradually with age.
Ho has also been able to use his passion for running to connect with like-minded individuals and fundraise for charities such as the Robin Hood Foundation.
Running has also helped educate him about healthy aging in communities of color, an issue that his investment firm supports through the West Harlem Innovation Network.
Ho cites running as a key way to help him maintain his busy lifestyle.
