Apple is reshuffling its executives and transferring the development of Siri to Vision Pro chief Mike Rockwell in an effort to address failures in its AI strategy.
The reshuffle comes after Apple acknowledged delays in new Siri features and a further revamp, which are now pushed back to next year.
Apple CEO Tim Cook reportedly lost confidence in AI head John Giannandrea's ability to deliver on Siri plans.
Mike Rockwell, who led the team behind the Vision Pro headset, will report directly to Apple's software chief Craig Federighi, taking Siri completely out of Giannandrea's authority.
