Astronomers have discovered the largest explosion ever recorded, which is more than 10 times brighter than a typical supernova and has lasted for over three years.
The explosion, named AT2021lwx, is believed to have been caused by a massive cloud of gas being consumed by a supermassive black hole.
The event, located 8 billion light years away, has left scientists baffled as its brightness and duration defy previous scientific understanding.
