How to check whether your graphics card has missing ROPs
- If you bought an Nvidia RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, or (probably) the upcoming RTX 5070, you should check if it's missing ROPs and therefore you're missing out on performance.
- As many as 0.5% of all cards sold may have this hardware defect, causing you to lose anywhere up to 11% of raw gaming performance.
- You can check your GPU's ROPs using CPU-Z Validator by downloading and running the latest version of CPU-Z, selecting the Validate button, and looking next to 'GPU Units' in the 'Graphics card (GPU)' section.
- If your card has missing ROPs, contact your GPU manufacturer to request a refund or replacement.
