Five major tech companies, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Nvidia, have pledged over $40 million to support CAIA (Cancer AI Alliance), a new research initiative focused on enhancing cancer care.
CAIA aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve clinical work and advance cancer research.
The initiative was launched by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and includes three other renowned cancer research institutions.
CAIA will collaborate through federated AI, enabling analysis of datasets without sharing underlying medical data, thus addressing cybersecurity risks.
