<ul><li>Five major tech companies, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Nvidia, have pledged over $40 million to support CAIA (Cancer AI Alliance), a new research initiative focused on enhancing cancer care.</li><li>CAIA aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve clinical work and advance cancer research.</li><li>The initiative was launched by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and includes three other renowned cancer research institutions.</li><li>CAIA will collaborate through federated AI, enabling analysis of datasets without sharing underlying medical data, thus addressing cybersecurity risks.</li></ul>
