<ul><li>BASF has expanded its manufacturing capabilities in the US to include the production of Licity anode binders for EV batteries.</li><li>The new production capability allows BASF to offer its Licity portfolio globally, addressing concerns over local supply of raw materials for battery manufacturers and OEMs.</li><li>BASF's water-based anode binders under the Licity portfolio enhance battery capacity, improve cycle stability, and reduce charging time, and are compatible with co-binders like carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC).</li><li>The Licity binders can be customized for various technical focuses and applications, including pure graphite or silicon-containing anodes in EVs, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics.</li></ul>
