Ayan Biswas, formerly a software developer at Oracle, chose to leave his Rs 14 lakh per annum job and settle in Likir, Ladakh. After a transformative two-week holiday in 2020, he found solace in the remote village's serene environment.
Amid the pandemic, he extended his stay, eventually quitting his job in May 2024 to pursue his passion for photography and teach analog printing workshops.
Despite initial ties to Bengaluru, Biswas found peace in Likir's slower pace and now offers workshops from his home studio. His decision reflects a shift towards a more fulfilling lifestyle rooted in artistic expression and community engagement.
