Chinese automaker BYD has developed an ultra-fast EV charging system that can fully charge its latest EV models in 5-8 minutes.The system utilizes one-megawatt flash chargers and silicon carbide power chips, providing enough energy for nearly 250 miles of driving in 5 minutes.BYD plans to build more than 4,000 of these new charging stations across China.The company's aim is to reduce charging time for EVs to be as short as refueling time for traditional fuel vehicles.
