<ul><li>Chinese automaker BYD has developed an ultra-fast EV charging system that can fully charge its latest EV models in 5-8 minutes.</li><li>The system utilizes one-megawatt flash chargers and silicon carbide power chips, providing enough energy for nearly 250 miles of driving in 5 minutes.</li><li>BYD plans to build more than 4,000 of these new charging stations across China.</li><li>The company's aim is to reduce charging time for EVs to be as short as refueling time for traditional fuel vehicles.</li></ul>
