Jolt and the Canada Infrastructure Bank have announced a C$194-million loan agreement to support the installation of up to 1,500 curbside EV chargers in urban areas.
The funding aims to alleviate consumer range anxiety, accelerate EV adoption, and reduce transportation sector emissions.
Drivers can access 7 kWh of free fast charging per day, with costs offset through Jolt's integrated digital out-of-home advertising at each charging location.
The initiative supports Canadians' need for accessible and convenient charging points, facilitating the deployment of innovative technology and job creation.
