Cambridge GaN Devices (CGD) is showcasing its ICeGaN technology for various applications including inverters, industrial power supplies, and electric vehicles (EVs).
CGD's Combo ICeGaN combines ICeGaN GaN integrated circuits with IGBTs in electric vehicle inverters of 100 kW+, offering increased efficiency and lower costs compared to silicon carbide products.
The company has developed a 3-Level ANPC EV inverter for 800 V traction with IFP Energies Nouvelles, enhancing motor performance, reliability, and efficiency. The inverter features a 650 V 25 mΩ full bridge 4-10 kW reference design.
CGD's latest P2 series ICs have RDS(on) levels down to 25 mΩ, supporting multi-kilowatt power levels with high efficiency. The company has established a secure supply chain and distribution channels for its technology, aiming to address EV applications exceeding 100 kW.
