EE will launch new roaming plans on 4 December 2024 and remove all current roaming plans from 25 December 2024 in the UK.
Existing customers with inclusive roaming received a text message about the upcoming changes, but it lacked clear details about how the change would affect roaming packages.
EE's new roaming packages will start from £2.47 a day and will offer flexible options to keep travelers connected.
Customers with EU roaming already included in their plans will continue to receive it and will not be affected by the new changes.
The new roaming plans have different rates for different zones, with EU countries grouped into one zone, and the US and China among those in zone 1.
The daily charge in EU countries is £2.47, while in the US and China among others, it's £5.
Zone 2, which includes India and Egypt, has a daily charge of £7.50.
Zone 3, which includes countries such as Japan and Morocco, has a daily charge of £7.50, with an additional 500 MB data.
Zone 4 includes Nepal and the Maldives, with calls and texts available but no data. The daily charge is £15.
EE's new roaming plans aim to offer clarity and convenience for travelers.
