The European Union has found that Apple and Google breached the bloc’s DMA antitrust regulation.
Apple has been ordered to change certain iOS features that violate the DMA, while preliminary findings suggest that Google has also breached the DMA.
Under the DMA, gatekeepers like Apple and Google are required to make their platforms interoperable with third-party products, a clause that Apple violated.
In addition, Google is accused of giving preference to its own products in search results and applying excessive fees in the Google Play app store.
