Lindsay Mustain, a former HR manager with extensive recruiting experience, recounted the most shocking resume she encountered in her career.
While working at Comcast in 2007, she stumbled upon a candidate's resume for an entry-level call center role. The first two pages seemed standard, but the third page featured a full-blown picture of the candidate holding a shotgun—an old-school selfie.
Mustain was baffled by the inclusion of such an image, considering it highly inappropriate and off-putting. She emphasized the importance of keeping resumes concise, avoiding photos unless necessary, and never including firearms in images.
