<ul><li>Gemini will now automatically and by default start summarizing emails in Gmail. The summaries will be displayed at the top of email content for messages that may benefit from a summary.</li><li>Previously, users had to manually tap 'Summarize this email' for this feature, which is now automatic. Gemini will synthesize key points from email threads and update the summary with information from subsequent replies.</li><li>The feature is currently rolling out for English emails. For those not identified by Gemini for a summary, manual prompting can be done by tapping the 'Summarize this email' chip.</li><li>The rollout will take up to 15 days, initially for Google Workspace, Google One AI Premium subscribers, and customers with Gemini Education subscriptions.</li></ul>
