<ul><li>GNOME has a new app called Picture of The Day for daily wallpapers from Bing, Wikimedia, NASA, and Simon Stålenhag Artwork.</li><li>The app is a GTK4 application written in Rust programming language and provides a simple user interface to choose image source, preview wallpapers, and set them as desktop backgrounds.</li><li>Planned features for Picture of The Day app include saving current images, drag and drop functionalities, opening images with default applications, and adding new image sources.</li><li>The app is available for installation on most Linux systems through Flatpak package and can be easily uninstalled via the terminal.</li></ul>
