Google has announced that the Android 16 final release is set to launch today, marking the end of the beta period for supported Pixel phones.
The final release is initially for Pixel 6-series and newer phones running either Android 15 or an Android 16 beta, with updates for other manufacturers to follow.
Users on Android 16 QPR 1 Beta 1 will not receive the final release as an over-the-air update, as QPR is a separate update track expected in the fall with a major UI overhaul named Material 3 Expressive.
Android enthusiasts can expect more updates and features as Google continues to roll out advancements in the Android operating system.
