Google Messages is set to receive upgrades that include the ability to mention people in group chats and send links and QR codes.
The latest beta version of Google Messages suggests support for these features, which users may not have noticed were missing before.
The update will allow users to mention others in group chats, receive notifications when mentioned, and snooze notifications for specific time periods.
In addition, links and QR codes in group chats will expire after a few days, and users will be able to unsend texts in RCS chats with the 'delete for everyone' functionality.
