Google has announced new safety features for Android devices to protect users from scams, to be launched this year.
One feature includes screen-sharing alerts to prevent banking scams by warning users when sharing screens with unknown contacts during banking app usage.
Another feature is contact verification through Key Verifier in the Google Contacts app to prevent identity fraud by allowing users to verify contacts via QR code scan.
These new safety features aim to protect users from various types of scams and frauds, enhancing security on Android devices starting with Android 11 and above.
