<ul><li>The Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) has launched a dedicated group to advance and monitor the development of 5G Reduced Capability (RedCap).</li><li>RedCap technology aims to provide lower battery consumption, costs, and bandwidth requirements for 5G devices.</li><li>Only 26 operators in 18 countries are either investing in or exploring RedCap as of February 2025.</li><li>The newly formed group plans to showcase RedCap-enabled products to increase industry awareness and adoption.</li></ul>
