Honda has developed a new fuel cell module that offers more power and durability in a smaller and cheaper form. The new fuel cell module has a rated power output of 150 kilowatts, almost double compared to the previous version. It has a higher output voltage range of 450-850 volts, allowing for plug-in hybrid vehicles with 800-volt high-voltage batteries. The new module will have reduced manufacturing costs, increased durability, and is expected to go into mass production in 2027.
