Hong Kong-based Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) has launched a medical AI model named Cares Copilot 2.0, trained with Huawei Ascend 910B chips.
The model is designed to assist surgeons in surgical planning, generating diagnostic reports, and retrieving similar case files.
CAIR signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei to collaborate on using AI for surgery-related tasks due to US trade restrictions.
Huawei's Ascend chips have been used to train half of China's most powerful language models.
