ICL has signed a joint venture agreement with Dynanonic to produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM) in Europe.The joint venture will have an initial investment of approximately €285 million and a new facility will be established in Sallent, Spain.ICL will repurpose its site in Sallent, which was previously used for potash production, to accommodate the new facility.The joint venture aims to take advantage of the growing lithium-ion battery industry in Europe and plans to expand to meet the demand.
