India unveils Space Policy 2023 to promote private participation in the country's space sector, with the aim of increasing its space capabilities and bringing regulatory certainty to the industry.
The newly-formed Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) will play a key role in promoting, guiding, and authorizing space activities in India, collaborating with private participants, academia, and national and global industry players.
The policy allows startups in India's space sector to undertake end-to-end activities, including the establishment and operation of space objects, ground-based assets, and related services subject to the guidelines issued by IN-SPACe.
