Chandrayaan-3's Pragyan rover has successfully rolled out of the Vikram lander and is onto the Moon's surface, the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"The Ch-3 Rover ramped down from the Lander and India took a walk on the moon!," it said.
The spacecraft’s Vikram lander made the soft landing at 6.04 PM (IST) on Wednesday, ending the disappointment over the crash-landing of the Chandrayaan-2 lander four years ago.
