<ul><li>Amit Kshatriya, an Indian-origin engineer, has been appointed as the head of NASA's new Moon to Mars Programme Office.</li><li>The new office will oversee NASA's human exploration activities at the Moon and Mars for the benefit of humanity, as directed by the 2022 NASA Authorization Act.</li><li>Kshatriya has a vast experience in the space programme and has previously served as a software engineer, robotics engineer, and space station flight director.</li></ul>
