<ul><li>Apple's iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 software allows users to set a volume limit for the built-in speaker of their iPhone and iPad to protect their hearing.</li><li>The feature is new in iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, as iOS already supports volume limits for AirPods and other Bluetooth headphones.</li><li>To set the volume limit, users can navigate to the Sounds & Haptics settings, select the Built-In Speaker section, and enable the Limit Maximum Volume switch.</li><li>The volume limit applies to media playback and does not affect phone calls, FaceTime calls, emergency calls, and system sounds.</li></ul>
