Manjaro 24.1 Xahea released
- Manjaro 24.1, named Xahea, has been released with significant updates to GNOME 46 series, prompting several improvements and fixes for the remote desktop experience, consolidated Apps settings and a new System section for the Settings app, and innumerable improvements to the core GNOME experience.
- The Plasma edition includes the latest Plasma 6.1 series and KDE Gear 24.08, in addition to enabling remote desktop straight from the System Settings app, overhauling the visual aspect of Edit Mode interface for better desktop customization and offering 'remembers' feature that opens previously active windows to the next login session, when logging off and shutting down.
- The XFCE edition comes with key features including the A new file highlighting feature in Thunar file manager lets you set a custom color background for a file type in a directory, recursive search, controlling panel length configured in pixels and 'keep panel above windows' option, and grouped Interfacing settings in Control Centre module.
- New version boasts kernel 6.10 and multiple improvements to Manjaro, like additional hardware support, and usage of the latest drivers.
- Manjaro is a user-friendly Linux distribution based on the independently developed Arch operating system motivating users to explore and experiment with new technology, thus creating a powerful community encouraging feedback and suggestions.
