  • Games such as Space Marine 2, Hellblade 2, Black Myth: Wukong, Frostpunk 2, Final Fantasy 16 (PC Port), Dragon’s Dogma 2, among others are not running well on Steam Deck.
  • Some of the games can be adjusted with tweaks to run at 30ish FPS on Steam Deck. But with many games becoming more complex and resource-intensive it's clear the device is aging.
  • When Valve launched Steam Deck in 2022 it was not the most powerful device around. While it still excels at running older titles and less demanding experiences, the era of being able to run most games on the device has come to an end.
  • This means Valve may need to consider releasing a more powerful version of the Steam Deck that can play bigger games without melting the battery down or forcing owners to turn every setting to low.
