Marriott International has agreed to acquire the lifestyle brand citizenM, expanding its select-service and lifestyle lodging offerings.citizenM currently has 36 hotels across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, known for their tech-savvy in-hotel experience and focus on art and design.At the closing of the transaction, Marriott will pay $355 million to acquire the brand and related intellectual property.The acquisition is expected to strengthen Marriott's foothold in the select-service market segment and drive global expansion.
