Meta is offering companies like Disney and A24 the opportunity to create immersive video content for its Horizon OS, with the aim of attracting users to its upcoming headset.
The ultralight headset with a tethered puck planned to be launched by Meta next year is expected to cost less than $1000.
The exclusive immersive video content produced for Meta can also be watched on existing Quest headsets as Puffin's puck runs on the same Horizon OS.
Meta previously partnered with James Cameron's company Lightstorm Vision to bring more 3D video content to Quest headsets, spanning various entertainment experiences and featuring well-known intellectual property.
