Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT firm, has denied reports of mass resignations by women employees following the end of its work-from-home policy.
TCS acknowledged that there was a higher attrition rate among women compared to men in FY 2023 but considered it an unusual trend.
The company speculated that the shift from remote work during the pandemic may have disrupted domestic arrangements for some women, causing them to hesitate in returning to the office.
TCS expressed its commitment to promoting gender diversity and highlighted leadership development programs aimed at driving change, with women accounting for 23% of internally filled leadership positions.
