NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, has dedicated an Artemis Moon Tree, a loblolly pine.The tree grew from a seed that traveled around the Moon and back, symbolizing growth and future exploration.The tree was planted as part of the Artemis campaign, which aims to return to the lunar surface and journey to Mars.This loblolly pine is one of three Artemis Moon Trees in Virginia, continuing the tradition of the Apollo Moon Trees planted in 1971.
