NASA marked a key milestone with the installation of RS-25 engine No. E20001 for the upcoming Artemis missions.This new engine, built by L3Harris, is the first of 24 new flight engines being built for Artemis missions.The engine will undergo acceptance testing next month before being used to power the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.RS-25 engines fire for about 500 seconds during missions to the Moon to help launch SLS and the Orion spacecraft.
