<ul><li>A new NASA space telescope, SPHEREx, has captured its first light by taking stunning images of tens of thousands of galaxies and stars.</li><li>The telescope, enclosed with three different detectors, has collected six images, each covering an area 20 times wider than the full moon.</li><li>SPHEREx will scan the entire night sky four times and collect data from more than 450 million galaxies, giving scientists key insights into cosmology and the evolution of galaxies.</li><li>The wide panorama viewing of SPHEREx will complement the James Webb Space Telescope by identifying regions of interest for further study.</li></ul>
