Researchers at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) are developing smart sensors that can quickly detect harmful contaminants in food and water. The sensors have the ability to identify bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella, as well as toxic chemicals, in just minutes. The goal is to create accurate, fast, and user-friendly sensors that individuals can use to protect themselves. The researchers are collaborating with EnLiSense, a Texas-based company, to make these sensors available to consumers.
