North Korean hackers use newly discovered Linux malware to raid ATMs
- North Korean hackers have expanded their hacking repertoire to include Linux.
- The malware, called FASTCash, is a remote access tool installed on payment switches inside compromised networks.
- Initially infecting AIX-powered switches, FASTCash now targets Windows and Linux-based switches.
- Recent findings indicate that FASTCash has started infecting Linux switches as well.
