Meta has introduced the new Oakley Meta HSTN AR glasses with upgrades like 3K video recording and enhanced battery endurance.
The Oakley Meta HSTN is aimed at athletes, boasting features such as 5 microphones, built-in Bluetooth speakers, and hands-free operation with the Meta AI assistant.
These smart glasses can record videos in 3K resolution, an improvement over the 1080p capability of the Ray-Ban model.
Notable features include an integrated LED indicator for recording status, touchpad controls, and IPX4 water resistance.
The Oakley Meta HSTN offers up to 8 hours of battery life, which doubles the longevity of the Ray-Ban Meta, with the charging case extending endurance to 48 hours.
Charging these smart glasses to 50% takes just 20 minutes, as per Meta's claim.
The accompanying Meta AI app serves as a hub for managing settings, photos, and videos for the Oakley Meta HSTN.
Oakley Meta HSTN is available in Warm Grey, Black, Brown Smoke, and Clear color options with five lens combinations, all compatible with prescription lenses.
Pre-orders for the limited edition of Oakley Meta HSTN start on July 11 at $499, with more models expected to launch later priced at $399.
