Optus & amaysim offers in-flight-roaming
- Optus and amaysim have partnered with AeroMobile to enable international in-flight roaming on select international flights.
- Travelers can enjoy global connectivity while in the sky as AeroMobile extends its coverage to include a range of destinations.
- Optus offers international roaming from AUD5 per day for unlimited talk and text and 5GB of data for postpaid customers.
- amaysim's pricing ranges from AUD20 for Small Talk (100 mins, 100 texts) to AUD70 for The Epic (100 mins, 60 texts) with 9GB.
- In-flight roaming is subject to availability with partner airlines - Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Lufthansa being some of them.
- Vodafone offers in-flight roaming as part of its $5 roaming deal in partnership with AeroMobile, allowing customers to access their full plan inclusions overseas.
- In terms of price plans, Optus offers a range of Choice Plus and Promo plans, while amaysim offers various prepaid plans, starting at AUD10 for its 7-day UNLIMITED 10GB Plan.
- It’s important to note that the AeroMobile network utilizes satellites, so 4G or 5G speeds should not be expected.
- Both Optus and amaysim's in-flight plans come as part of their international roaming packages.
- Vodafone's in-flight offering is still considered one of the best available, as it allows customers access to their full plan while overseas.
