PostgreSQL: Unlogged tables and backups
- Unlogged tables in PostgreSQL can cause data inconsistency when performing backups.
- If unlogged tables are used and a dump is loaded into a primary instance, the data may not reach the replica.
- Newly added tables after the dump was loaded will successfully replicate.
- Dumped data can still be retrieved from unlogged tables, but it is not suitable for point-in-time recovery.
