Quackwatch is a network of Web sites and mailing lists developed by Stephen Barrett, M.D. and maintained by the Center for Inquiry (CFI).
Quackwatch's mission is to investigate questionable claims, answer inquiries, advise quackery victims, distribute reliable publications, debunk pseudoscientific claims, report illegal marketing, and improve the quality of health information on the Internet.
Quackwatch is part of the Center for Inquiry, an organization that opposes pseudoscience, and is known for publishing the Skeptical Inquirer magazine.
Stephen Barrett, the founder of Quackwatch, has been defending science for over 50 years and continues to be an important figure in the fight against pseudoscience.
