The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset is expected to be unveiled earlier than its predecessor, with rumors suggesting devices powered by it will launch in late September.
Qualcomm confirmed during its Computex presentation that the next Snapdragon Summit is scheduled from September 23 to September 25, where the new chipset will be unveiled.
Chinese flagship smartphones using the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 are likely to be announced in late September to early October for the domestic market, possibly leading to earlier global launches as well.
Samsung, rumored to launch its next-gen foldables in early July, may face a challenge as the chipset they plan to use will be superseded by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 shortly after.
