Apple has reportedly stopped its development of an iPhone hardware subscription program.
The program, which would have allowed consumers to pay a monthly fee for an iPhone and receive a new model each year, faced issues with software bugs and regulatory concerns.
Apple's Apple Pay group, responsible for the hardware subscription program, previously shut down its buy now, pay later (BNPL) offering due to stricter regulations.
Apple is now focusing on launching a thinner iPhone with a simplified camera, as well as two foldable devices in the future.
