Galaxy Z Flip 7 in the US will be powered by a Samsung-made Exynos chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Previous expectations of both Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite have been refuted, with reports indicating the use of Exynos 2500.
Exynos 2500, a new chip not yet seen in any device, has performance comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 rather than the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The decision to opt for Exynos 2500 over Snapdragon 8 Elite could be related to thin device heating/cooling issues, with Samsung's new foldables set to launch this summer.
